Casey + Chad {married}

August in Indiana is usually hot and muggy.  USUALLY.

This particularly special day?  Perfect.

Casey and Chad chose the beautifully rustic, yet serene, Brown County State Park as the venue for their big day.

While finishing touches were made at the ceremony/reception site, the girls were back at the lodge putting on their finishing touches.

I adored all the accessories and twinkles of color.

Here comes the bride!

Let’s just lay it out there.  You two are adorable. beautiful. handsome. A perfect fit.

The ceremony was performed by someone very special to them.  Chad’s grandfather.

It was simple and heartfelt.  There weren’t many dry eyes that day.

And then they were husband and wife.

Chad surprised Casey with a special ring during the ceremony (in addition to her gorgeous wedding ring.)  It belonged to Casey’s Nana.  (cue tears.)

I still can’t get over the adorable flower girls.  Pink tutus?  Yes please!

Casey and Chad were able to sneak away for a couple minutes to practice their dance steps.  -One of my favorite moments of the entire day.  At least Chad’s brother looks impressed. 😉

They spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away with their amazing family and friends.

Senior Model 2014

Announcing our 2014 Senior Model, Bailey.

Bailey will be graduating this May from Bloomington High School North.  She is a LOTS senior, a competitive swimmer, and a certified scuba diver.  She enjoys Biology and plans to study Medicine at Indiana University.  My favorite thing about Bailey is her sense of humor.  She. Is. A. RIOT!

Matt & Lindsay {Married}

Have you ever met someone and immediately felt like they were family?  These two were just that.  Lindsay and I met while she was a student teacher at my school.  I was thrilled when she asked us to schedule their engagement session and, now, their wedding. If you know Matt and Lindsay, you know they are pretty special people. You can’t help but be happy around them, because THEY are so happy.  And it is clear they are completely in love.

We. Adore. You two.  Period.

Their day was beautiful!  BEAUTFUL!

It started with a bit of rain, but cleared up while the Ladies were at the salon.  (The stylists at In Trend Hair Salon were fantastic!)

What did the guys do to relax and kill some time?  Basketball, of course.

The boys were funny, flexible, on time (a rare quality among groomsmen!), and completely AWESOME!

Lindsay and her girls were stunning and super relaxed.

I am in love with three things from this day.  #1 her ring.  Seriously, Matt, you have amazing taste.  #2, These glasses.  IU stripes all way!! And #3, IU TOMS.  LOVE.

One of my favorite moments of the day: Lindsay and Matt chose not to see each other, but agreed to “meet” before ceremony without actually seeing one another.  This is what happened.

I didn’t listen to his prayer.  I didn’t need to.  God was there.  His presence was palpable.

And then it was time.

He saw her.  She saw him.

The BEST recessional ever.  The IU fight song.  (Fitting, not only because IU rocks, but because both Lindsay and Matt played for IU.)

Riding in style to the reception at the Allen County Courthouse in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

At the end of that perfect day, we headed out to the courthouse lawn for the fireworks show for the Three Rivers Festival.  The second Matt and Lindsay walked out the door, they were greeted by an echo of applause and cheers by the crowd who had claimed their spots for the fireworks.  Loved. that. moment.

We sincerely feel so blessed to have been a part of your big day and we look forward to hearing how God will continue to bless your lives.  Much love to you both! ~ Katie & Doug
